EMPIRE

Empire City: This fella is 7 y/o. Recently threw his shoes so he is tender footed. He's been trail ridden since being retired from racing. He bowed a tendon on his last race but is sound for riding. He's had over a year off the track. He is a gem, neck reins, has a great trot, but needs work on his lope. He's not the least bit spooky nor aggressive. He'll make a great performance horse in any discipline. He's been used for trail riding since leaving the track. He's not the least bit aggressive or spooky. We've already had children on his back. Would make a good horse for a beginner to work with. He is a big fellow, somewhere around 16 Hands. Excellent prospect. Placement fee $800.00.

Update 8/9: I rode him today. He listens well, neckreins, is super easy to handle and is just an all around good horse. Will make a great horse for beginners.

 KELSEY

Kisco Light AKA Kelsey: This fellow has very nice flowing movements. He was one that was racing up until he came a couple weeks ago. He came up sore in his knee after a race and although he was x-rayed they didn't see any chipping in the knee but he does have some arthritis in the one frontknee. He was pulled for the track for serveral months and during that time was used for trail riding. He's a very nice well mannered guy. Would be suitable for trail riding or easier disciplines such as western pleasure or English equitation classes. Placement fee $800.00.

BULLET

***PLACED Congrats to Rex & His family***** TNT Silver Bullet: Known around the farm as Napolean. This little guy is only 3 years old and currently stand around 15'1. He is full of himself and although he is little he has a big horse attitude. Just from our first assessment we believe this fella will make an excellent gaming horse but that all depends on his knee. He injured himself as a foal in the pasture. You can tell when he walks because his gait is a little stiff in the one knee but he is sound for riding purposes. He must be giving a joint supplement daily. We use MSM which is only $5.00 per container at tractor supply. He was raced but didn't do well on the track so was pulled. The last owner had his knee x-rayed and there is no chipping, fractures, arthritis, etc. Placement fee $500.00. He has a very smooth canter, very nice head set under saddle, and is easy to handle.

PRINCESS

Classical Princess: She is a 20 y/o mare. She won almost 100k when she was racing and she is a stakes winner. She's supposed to be sound for riding (we have not tried riding her) and still breeding sound as well. The girl actually spent her whole life with the same owners which is unheard of in the TB business. She is turned out and she is a herd horse. She keeps all of her herd together and will not let them go anywhere that she doesn't want them too. Placement fee $500.00

PINS

***Placement Pending*******Not Available Yet but will be soon****Mr. Niner (AKA PINS). Meet Pins, 7 yr old OTTB, a real sweetheart and great boy to work around. He recently came to us after being retired from racing. He was injured during a race and has a screw in his knee. After several months off he was returned to the track for several more races before finally being retired. He came to us in April of 2008 and since then has been used for trail riding, lessons, a babysitter, along with several other jobs. He's enjoying the time off and his retirement. He's a great boy that deserves that best and he is getting it here at the farm. Special Thanks to Kelly who brought him to our facility. He is now available for placement. Fee is $1000.00. He is sound, a great trail horses, and excellent babysitter, great with children. You cannot go wrong with this fella.

HANDS

*****NOT READY FOR PLACEMENT YET BUT WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON***** Meet Winning Hand (AKA Hands). 5 year old OTTB. He was raced up through March. He came in sore after a race and his owner and trainer sent him for x-rays where they found a fractured sesmoid bone. She immediately pulled him off the track and started his recovery. Thanks to her caring nature this injury was found soon enough that it didn't cause permanent damage. He was brought to our farm in April and has been on stall rest and receiving care since then. His fracture is healing well, he is currently turned out with the other horses and ready to start retraining. He's a super sweet boy who will have a second chance and a new job after he's completely rehabilitated. He's a big boy standing  16 Hands and very loving and well mannered. Special Thanks to Kelly whose love and care brought him to our facility. Placement fee TBD.

 DIAMOND

************NOT AVAILABLE YET BUT WILL BE ONCE HE IS HEALED!!!*******************

Diamond Miner: This fella was injured in May. He was turned out in the pasture when he slipped and slide under the fence. Luckily he stayed there until someone found him. Even Luckier he did not break anything nor did he do any damage to the tendons or ligaments in his leg. It's going to be slow healing and he'll have some proud flesh but with time should heal to 100% sound for riding. He has the sweetest personality and loves attention. He is very easy to work around! I have a picture of his leg as it appears now. It is not a pretty site! Will post pictures as he progresses. Placement fee: TBD

8/7/07 Update: I will get some pictures and post tomorrow. This fellow is healing very well. He is doing great and coming along better than we expected. We have removed almost all of the proud flesh and the wounds are beginning to close and the swelling is going down. He is going to have scarring but it's NOT going to be as bad as we our initial assessment.
